When you are ready to apply for your LR licence you should:
- Complete the application from—you can get it here
- Pass the required eyesight test

The Learner’s Log and guide book tells you everything you’ll need to know about the assessment process.
They also help you keep on track with your learning goals.
Now comes the fun part.
Apply to Pro-action Driving Training for your competency-based training and assessment.
Will I Also Have to Sit an RMS Driving Test?
No.
No other driving test is required with the RMS. The Pro-action Driver Training programme is a Heavy Vehicle Competency Based Assessment (HVCBA) approved and accredited by the Roads & Maritime Services (RMS).
